How To Achieve Similar-To Eyeliner Effect With Eyeshadow
Eyeliner is one of the most important make up cosmetic. However sometimes it can be difficult to achieve desidered look with eyeliner, for example if you like very soft, natural lines instead of harsh ones or you do not want a ''dramatic effect''. Some of you may prefer to use eye shadow also because it is easier to erase, blend or change the line with cotton buds. It can be also interesting substitute of eyeliner in case you are looking for one in uncommon colours and cannot find anything.
Ok, so there is the trick:
You will need:
- eye shadow in desidered colour (dark brown, gray, black, carbon, navy blue, purple, other...? )
- angled eye contour brush
- powder and powder brush
- optionally: eye makeup base to apply at the beginning on the lid to smooth the lid surface.
Apply powder under your eyes. It makes it easy to remove eye shadow in case it falls down.
To contour your lid, use the arched side of the angled brush.
Take a little bit of the eye shadow on the brush and shake off the excessive eyeshadow powder. Start from the outer side of the eye end move inwards with gentle strokes. If you like, you can also draw a wing with the eyeshadow (it looks best if you use black or deep colours to contour the eye). When finished, remove the cosmetic that has fallen down with a powder brush.
